Privacy policy

Byvalerie.com protects your personal privacy, and we strive for a high level of security in our data protection work. This policy describes how we collect and use personal data, and how we work to protect the information using both technical and organizational protection measures. “Personal data” means all kinds of information that can be linked to you as a now living natural person. The policy also describes what rights you have with regard to our processing of your personal data, and how you should proceed to exercise these rights.

Byvalerie.com processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, also known as the “GDPR” after its English name General Data Protection Regulation).

Personal data that is processed by byvalerie.com

The personal data we process depends on the relationship you have with us. We collect the information either directly from you or from our partners. The collection can also take place via digital channels, for example in connection with you visiting our website where you can fill in an expression of interest which is sent to our email.

In some cases, we collect personal information from you, but where the information applies to people other than yourself. For example, if you order a service from us on behalf of another person. In these cases, we assume that you who provide us with other people’s personal information have these persons’ consent or have some other valid reason for doing so. We will inform the persons concerned about our personal data processing at our first contact with them.

Your personal information may also appear in various types of data logs that are necessary for several of our digital systems to function in an appropriate manner. This may, for example, apply to logs of information access, incoming and outgoing e-mail.

Legal basis and purpose of the treatment

Byvalerie.com processes personal data for several different purposes. The main purposes are for us to be able to:

  • Manage orders, sales, customer service matters and communication with you as a customer
  • Document, evaluate, develop and market our business

With email listings, you always get the opportunity to say no to more similar mailings from us.

Any processing of personal data by byvalerie.com may be justified on the basis of one or more of the following legal grounds:

Fulfillment of legal obligation
Example: We must process certain personal data in order to meet the requirements of the Accounting Act.

Completion of agreement
Example: If you ordered a product from us, we must receive certain personal information from you in order to be able to charge and send out the product.

Storage and protective measures

To protect your personal data against loss, damage or unauthorized processing, we at byvalerie.com are constantly working to maintain and improve a number of different security measures. This applies to physical protection (for example for people, IT infrastructure), information security protection (for example against intrusions into IT systems, virus attacks and through backup) and organizational protection (for example that only those people who need it in their work have access to your personal data).

We store your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. The data is then securely deleted or deidentified, so that it can no longer be linked to you. Unless otherwise agreed, and unless the law requires us to keep the information longer, the storage times below apply. If you want us to interrupt the storage of your personal data earlier than these times, you can request this, see the section below on “Your rights”.

Transfer of personal data to others

Byvalerie.com never sells your information to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal information to the following categories of recipients:

Authorities
Example: Byvalerie.com may provide necessary information to authorities such as the Police or the Swedish Tax Agency if we are obliged by law to do so.

Personal data assistance
Example: Byvalerie.com hires another business to perform certain services for us – for example marketing, operation of IT systems – so this can either mean that the business collects personal data for us, or they need access to personal data such as byvalerie.com has collected. In this case, we are responsible for personal data and the other business is an assistant. We then enter into a personal data assistant agreement in order to ensure that the personal data is handled correctly and securely.

Transfer of personal data to countries outside the EU / EEA
Byvalerie.com’s basic principle is that we do not transfer personal data to businesses outside the EU / EEA. The exception is activities conducted in a third country that are considered to have an adequate level of protection according to the EU Commission decision according to Article 45 of the GDPR.

According to the data protection ordinance, you as a registrant have a number of rights vis-à-vis byvalerie.com. If you want to exercise these rights, send us an e-mail according to the information below.

Contact support

We will respond to your email within 30 days, calculated from the fact that we were able to verify your identity. To protect you and your personal information, byvalerie.com will not disclose the information to anyone whose identity has not been verified. If, for whatever reason, we are unable to fulfill your request, we will provide a justification and explain why it did not work.

For all rights below, you can, if you wish, request that we extend your request to our partners, if we have shared your information with any of them.

Right to access your personal information
You have the right to receive a confirmation of whether byvalerie.com processes your personal data, and in that case receive an extract of the personal data in question. In most of byvalerie.com systems, the e-mail address acts as an identifier, and we will therefore normally deliver the copy of the information digitally to your e-mail address.

Right to rectification
Byvalerie.com strives to ensure that all information processed by us is correct. If you discover that there are errors in your information, you can request that we correct the incorrect information. We will then correct the errors.

Right to data portability
If you want to obtain your personal data from byvalerie.com in order to be able to use them elsewhere, you have in some cases the right to obtain them in a structured, generally used and machine-readable format and transfer them to another personal data controller. However, this presupposes that the transfer is technically possible, that the other party accepts the formats we provide and that this can be done with reasonable effort for us.

Given the limited amount of personal data that byvalerie.com processes, it will in almost all cases be easier for you to provide the other party with your personal data yourself. Also note that this right is limited to information processed with the consent of you or to fulfill an agreement with you, and that it only applies to such personal information that you have provided yourself.

Right to limitation of treatment
If you want byvalerie.com to process your personal data only for certain limited purposes, you can request a limitation of the processing. This applies, for example, if you believe that the information is incorrect, that our processing is illegal, that we no longer need the information for the purposes, or when you have objected to processing with a legitimate interest while waiting to check whether our interest outweighs yours. We will then mark the data to ensure that they are not subject to further processing and can not be changed.

Right to delete (“right to be forgotten”)
If you want us to stop all processing of your personal data completely, you can in some cases request deletion of this. We will then delete all information that can be linked to you as a person. When the deletion is completed, you will receive a confirmation of this via e-mail, and then we will also delete the sent e-mail.

If you think we did wrong

If you believe that byvalerie.com processes your personal data in violation of applicable law, or that we have handled a request from you incorrectly when you wanted to exercise your rights as above, you can report this to the Data Inspectorate (Integrity Protection Authority).
